our vision

Meaningful food experiences restoring our natural connection.

Cooking is an environmental act that connects us all. By living within our landscape and supporting sustainable food systems, we can begin to restore our environmental legacy. Simply put, food can change the world.

Sael Projects is a rural food lab studying the ecology, pre-industrial food culture and heritage of a place and sharing our understanding through food. We trace our roots in the landscape, rediscovering forgotten flavours and unearthing buried knowledge to bring people together with nature.

SixSeats

An expression of real hospitality, rooted deep in the landscape.

Sael Projects holds unique dinners in which to share our research and engage people with the land. SixSeats is part food lab, part dinner party, examining the idea of restaurants as restorants of people and environment. Serving a gastronomic expression of the landscape that connects us through acts of hospitality, an edible journal of where and when we are.

Groups can join us in our rural test kitchen for an intimate study of new and ancient ideas in cooking, eating, and living within our landscape.

EDUCATION & TALKS

Sharing ideas in nature-conscious food systems & communities.

We are all students of the natural world, we’re always learning. As advocates of an environmentally engaged global community it’s important to us that we share what we learn. Through lectures, conferences, dinners, films and events, Sael Projects shares its research and ideas around the world.

workshops

Re-earth, restore, reconnect.

Sael Projects offers workshops to corporate, educational & private groups with a hunger for stronger connections. With our lives becoming increasingly virtual, we’ve never been more disconnected from each other. We can become more grounded when we meet within reality, restoring human senses and interpersonal bonds through a more natural connection.

With workshops in foraging, fermentation and cooking with wild food, Sael Projects nurtures stronger connections for teams within nature.
